Station Krew
The Station Krew Live at Sundays at the Station — August 9, 2026
When a band is born out of a community event, there’s something extra special about watching them perform. On Sunday, August 9, 2026, Sundays at the Station puts the spotlight on exactly that kind of story — The Station Krew, a group of local musicians formed specifically for this very summer series.
Who Are The Station Krew?
Formed five years ago for Sundays at the Station, The Station Krew is a group of local musicians whose strong vocal harmonies and instrumentation skills have been developed over many years of combined experience across a wide variety of genres. Members have played in bands, sung in choirs and as solo performers, and brought their talents to small ensembles and musical theatre choral work. In this band, everyone sings — and it shows.
The original lineup of Richard Crum (guitar), Mel Moniz (guitar, bass, banjo, and ukulele), Laura Breen (keyboard), and Jennifer Lee (flute and saxophone) is joined this season by Jim Walter on bass and Mike Wemyss on drums.
Together, the Krew delivers an entertaining and eclectic mix of songs you already know and are warmly invited to sing along with — Beatles hits, light jazz, summer-themed favourites, rock ‘n’ roll, and a wee bit of country. There’s something for everyone, and the variety keeps the evening feeling fresh from start to finish.
What to Expect on August 9
Warm harmonies, familiar songs, and the kind of genuine community spirit that makes Sundays at the Station so special. The Station Krew was built for this stage and this audience — and that connection comes through in every performance. Come ready to sing along.
Admission is by donation — pay what you can when the hat is passed. Food truck on site, or bring your own dinner. Bring a lawn chair and a hat. If rain moves in, the show carries on across the street at the Legion.
